EQUAL TREATMENT

Employers need to appreciate that all employees have idiosyncrasies, issues, and needs that impact on their work from time to time.

Employers should not view employees with mental health issues any differently to other employees.

Employers who have worked with people with mental health issues are clear that the key to supporting the positive and successful employment of all staff is a good relationship and communication, whatever the idiosyncrasies, issues, and needs of employees.[1]
